19th USA WUSHU COLLEGIATE TOURNAMENT 2015

The national collegiate Wushu tournament was created to foster college level Wushu competition in the United States of America. The University of Oregon hosted the first tournament in 1997. Since then, the tournament continues to draw more competitors from universities across the nation.

This year’s tournament was the 19th collegiate Wushu gathering, hosted by the university of California, Irvine on April 11th of 2015.

What is Wushu? Wushu is the courage to win and the determination to triumph victoriously in the face of adversity. Even when the cosmos unveils the incalculable odds against humanity, true warriors fight with unyielding resolve and never allow themselves to succumb to defeat. It is the very nature of a Wushu Athlete to accept nothing less than victory and this is why practitioners from around the world practice this pristine sport.
