Wushu Shaolin Kung Fu

Wushu Shaolin Kung Fu is among the leading Chinese Martial Arts schools in southern California. The curriculum includes many styles of martial arts, with a comprehensive emphasis in Wushu and traditional Shaolin Kung Fu.  The facility is equipped with professional Martial Arts equipment capable of turning dedicated practitioners into season champions. Many of the students have exceled in national tournaments, winning Grand Champion titles.

Shifu Sal Redner and a group of avid enthusiasts from San Pedro, California, established Wushu Shaolin Kung Fu during the turn of the century.  Initially, the group practiced at the San Pedro Korean Bell and a local community center called Toberman Settlement Home.  After many years, Shifu Sal Redner and Wushu Shaolin Kung Fu assisted countless youth, free of charge.  Since then, the organization has blossomed into a worldwide network of practitioners that foster peace, education, and camaraderie. 

Register Below for Saturday Examination Event

Dear Students and Enthusiasts,

On Saturday we will host our official Student Examination at 10:00am. All students who are testing are required to arrive half an hour early to prepare and warm up. 

In order to attend as a spectator, please reserve a spot below. The event may feature brick breaking, sparring, and weapons. Due to the nature of the examination, no one under 7 years of age is allowed to participate as a spectator.

Although this is a free event, all participants must reserve a spot below, otherwise there will be a $20 charge at the door.

In addition, since this is a free event, we encourage everyone to bring a dish of food to share after the event.  We hope to encourage a Pot Luck style event at the end of the examination.

The national collegiate Wushu tournament was created to foster college level Wushu competition in the United States of America. The University of Oregon hosted the first tournament in 1997. Since then, the tournament continues to draw more competitors from universities across the nation.

This year’s tournament was the 19th collegiate Wushu gathering, hosted by the university of California, Irvine on April 11th of 2015.

On behalf of a private residence, Wushu Shaolin Entertainment was invited to produce a rare Chinese cultural presentation.

The Chinese traditional Lion Dance is revered for promoting good luck and prosperity for everyone. Wushu Shaolin Entertainment was invited to perform the traditional Chinese Lion Dance on behalf of a private residence in Venice Beach, California. The venue was a stunning home called the Appleton. International Dragon Dance Team hired by Fox and Toyota for a 2015 national print ad photo-shoot.The International Dragon Dance Team was assembled on behalf of Wushu Shaolin Entertainment to assist the award winning Photographer, Dave Hill with a unique cross cultural production. The purpose was to showcase the rich and diverse Los Angeles culture behind the 2015 Toyota Camry. The composition included dancers, martial artists, and unique Chinese Cultural Dragon Dance Artisans.
