Martial Arts Enthusiasts, Family and Friends,
Origins Events is excited to welcome you to the 2012 Origins International Martial Arts Festival™! This year's festival will be held in Anaheim, California on August 17th-19th with the main tournament on Saturday, August 18th.
Many new enhancements will be introduced as we expand the festival with new martial arts disciplines, improved online registration and streamlined check-in for pre-registered athletes. We are also excited to bring the 2012 festival to the world-class American Sports Center, the largest indoor sports complex in the world and the training home to many U.S. Olympic teams. This location is a dedicated sports complex that will enable us to implement many operational improvements and provide the athletes, families and fans, and tournament officials with a more enjoyable and exciting experience.
2012 continues a 10-year celebration that we began in 2011 to recognize the outstanding contributions to the martial arts from countries across the globe. Each year will highlight a different country, their martial arts, and their important influence. In the Year of the Dragon, the 2012 Festival recognizes China for their rich cultural heritage that they have shared with the world!
Our staff is committed to creating an atmosphere of sportsmanship and integrity, a competition that is fair and exciting, and a festival for all to enjoy and experience. We also recognize the dedication and passion of all the martial arts teachers that join us in support of their students. Lastly, we thank the families that continue to believe in the life-changing benefits of the martial arts.
